1. Validation: what we check at each level
The badge states exactly what was checked, and nothing more. These are the sentences, word for word, that accompany each level on the listing:
“We have not checked anything about this business yet.”
“The phone published on this listing was verified through WhatsApp, and the email of whoever manages it, confirmed.”
“In addition, we reviewed evidence that the business exists where it says: a visit, a video or a photo of the premises with its sign.”
“In addition, we reviewed a legal document of the person representing the business.”
Level 1 is granted automatically when whoever manages the listing verifies their phone through WhatsApp and their email, and the published phone is that same number. Levels 2 and 3 are granted by a person on our team after reviewing evidence, and are recorded with the date, who granted them and what was reviewed.
2. What it does not mean
- It is not a quality guarantee. A business existing and being who it says it is does not mean it serves well, delivers, or prices fairly.
- It is not a recommendation from us. We do not test its products or services.
- It does not cover what it does not say. A level 1 did not check the premises; a level 2 did not check documents. Each sentence is exactly that.
3. The badge affects result order
In search and in the catalogue, businesses with a higher validation level appear first. A business appearing higher is a consequence of its badge, not of being better than those below.
4. Quality: buyers say it
Next to the validation badge goes the review average and how many reviews there are. We do not write that: it comes from reviews left by people with an account, and each one says whether it comes from a verified purchase or not. A business can have gold in validation and two stars in quality, and both are true at once.
5. When it is lost
Level 1 is lost automatically if the business changes its published phone to one that is not verified. Levels 2 and 3 are revoked if the address stops being valid, if the reviewed document no longer matches whoever manages the listing, or if there are substantiated complaints. A revocation does not erase the record: when and why are kept.
6. The date matters
Every badge shows since when it is in force. What was checked in January may not be true in December; that is why the date travels with the badge.
